Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." Disney's CAMP ROCK - Spring 2025
A classic story of rivalry and power, Disney's Camp Rock The Musical opens with Mitchie and her friends arriving at Camp Rock, ready to spend another summer jamming out and having the time of their lives. But the new, flashy Camp Star across the lake threatens Camp Rock's existence. Available to 3rd-8th grades, auditions will be held in December, with performances planned for April. Dates TBA.
Jr. Thespians Troupe 10232
This club is affiliated with the International Thespian Society. This honor society recognizes excellent theatrical work and achievement at the Middle and High School levels and advocates for theatre in our schools nationwide. Students prepare and compete with Individual, technical, small group, and short play categories at district and state-level competitions. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and coaching sessions will be available in the mornings on Wednesdays and Fridays. Many High Schools also have Thespian Troupes affiliated with ITS and have their own levels of competition so students can continue their journey and passion. It is a fantastic opportunity and resumé building activity. District competitions are usually in November and December, and State competitions are in February. Contact ruth.chiasson@hcps.net for more info.

Ensembles perform yearly at school events, parent concerts, and community field trips.

Enrichment Club Policies
Registration and Refunds
All students participating in our club program must register through Homeroom. Please make any necessary adjustments during the registration period. Once the registration period has ended, the rosters are final, and no further changes will be permitted. No refunds, additions, switches, or cancelations will be given after registration closes.
Payment
All fees must be paid through the Homeroom website. There will be no checks or cash accepted. Vendors are paid directly from the Homeroom App and cannot receive payments directly.
Pickup
When registering, please include all authorized to pick up your child, as our providers cannot access the school district emergency cards. Your child will not be released to any adults, not in the Homeroom registration form, so please be sure to document those individuals.
When picking up your child, please park in the lot and walk up to the school to check out your child with the club provider. Please do not enter through the circle - this is for your and other children's safety. If your child is enrolled in HOST, the club provider will take them to HOST after dismissal.
Please be on time to pick up your child. Clubs are released at 3:45 (Mondays) and 4:45 (Tuesday-Friday). If you are late more than three times, your student's registration will be withdrawn without a refund.
Capacity
Each club vendor has a minimum number of students required to hold that club open. If this number is not met and the provider decides to cancel the club, we will let you know as soon as possible so that you can make other arrangements.
Alternatively, once a club reaches maximum capacity, you will be put on a waiting list, and if a spot becomes available, you will be notified. Please stay attentive to your email during registration should these situations arise.
Behavior
Clubs are a privilege that we enjoy offering to our Roland Park families. Your child is expected to behave respectfully, with kindness (no bullying), and without disrupting the class. Repeated behavioral incidents may result in forced withdrawal from the club without a refund.
